Tous les vainqueurs ont dès que cela était possible récupére le matériel du vaincu pour le réutiliser immédiatement ou le transformer
Aussi en juin 1940  lorsque une grande partie de matériel français tomba entre les mains des allemands ceux-ci firent un tri dans le parc Certains matériels ne furent pas réutilisés car obsolètes. Il furent donc envoyés dans le fonderies pour refaire des nouveaux engins, Par contre les autres engins reçus  à cet examen de passage furent soient utilisés tels quels soit modifié légèrement ou de façon plus importante et seront utilisés par les Allemands
En France c’est le Commando Becker qui transforma ses engins pour la plupart
Ils reçurent le nom allemand de Beuten Panzer (chars hérités )Parmi ces matériels on trouve   un certain nombre de chenillettes d’infanterie de type Renault UE.

Ces engins pouvaient transporter sur le champ de bataille du ravitaillement grâce à un caisson arrière. L’architecture de l’ensemble pouvait espérer un aménagement différent.
Cette machine a fait l’objet d’un photoscope
L’engin étant très bas donc facilement camouflage pouvait être facilement transformé.
En effet en modifiant la partie centrale e arrière de la chenillette on pouvait dégager un espace suffisamment grand pour abriter un équipage et une arme

La vieille idée française du milieu des années 30 pouvait donc se réaliser
Le bloc moteur resta à la avant t les modifications portèrent sur l habitacle et la partie arrière
Diverses versions virent le jour
le photoscope vous présente un engin conservé au Musée de Bruxelles et avec un habitacle passager surélevé et blindé pouvant accueillir une Mitrailleuse MG 13 ou34. Il conserve sur cette version la caisson arrière
par contre d autres versions voient le caisson remplacé par un superstructure blindée pouvant abriter un homme et de l armement (cf la photo ci dessus )
Ce type de chenillette fut donc largement utilisée par l’armée Allemande et la Luftwaffe en particulier pour la garde des Aérodromes en liaison avec les FT17
Elle fut appelé chez les allemands Sicherungsfahrzeug UE (f)
C’etait un engin fiable peu cher a transformé donc rentable
