Nous les français nous avons l ‘AUF1 qui fut en son temps le meilleur système d artillerie l’OTAN et les USA ont le Paladin ou le M109 sous diverses versions les Allemands ont le M109 et aussi le Pz 2000 qui a été vendus aussi à l Italie et au Pays bas . Ces engins sont des poids lourds dans leur catégorie
Mais on assiste de part le monde dans la sphère des constructeurs à produire des engins plus légers facilement aérotransportables mais avec un canon de grand puissance
Les Français avec le Caesar ont ouvert la voie et beaucoup de constructeurs ont suivi
Et l’un d’entre eux propose l’engin que je vais vous décrire si dessous le Donar
Le Donar
Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW) et General Dynamics European Land Systems ont révélé publiquement le16 juin 2008 le DONAR un nouveau système d’artillerie , tout terrain très mobile d’un poids de 35 tonnes équipé dune tourelle et d’un canon totalement automatisé et aérotransportable Cet engin exposé à Euro Satory 2008 est plus rapide plus puissant que le KMW PZH 2000 et il est proposé comme une alternative à celui-ci
En effet le Donar serait capable de placer dans une cible 4 coups de 155mm en 1 minute
Description
Le DONAR est un véhicule avec 2 hommes d’équipage mettant en oeuvre un canon sous tourelle entièrement automatisé qui peut atteindre une cible à 40 kms (network centric warfare Le Donar peut ainsi s'intégrer dans une chaîne C4ISR d'artillerie automatisée Il est issu du programme AGM
il est très proche du Future Combat Systems de l US Army avec le Non Line of Sight-Launch System.Le NLOS-LS se présente comme un conteneur de missiles à lancement vertical qui présente la particularité de pouvoir être abandonné après camouflage en un point du champ de bataille puis activé sur ordre La capacité d’emport de munitions est de 30 coups
L’équipage se déplace sur un point donné et attend l’ordre de tir venant par un signal codé transmis à distance par un PC éloigné
Développé sur un châssis dérive du VCI GDELS ASCOD 2 (auparavant il été sur châssis de LRM avec un poids de 27 tonnes ) il possède une tourelle qui peut tourner sur 360 ° permettant une acquisition rapide de la cible cette tourelle peut d ailleurs être montée sur tout types de châssis chenillés ou à roues
L’équipage limité à 2 est dans la cabine protégée NRBC Le Blindage va du Level I standard au Level III stanag tout en restant dans les limite de 31.5-metric-ton pour le r A400M
Le Donar peut être transporté par le nouveau cargo militaire Airbus A400M air lifter, mais pas par le C130 et C160
Les délais de livraisons du A400M ont des incidences sur les commandes du Donar.
Le moteur développe 720 CV
KMW and GDELS se disent capable de procurer une puissance feu de 8 à 9 coups /minutes
Le Donar a été récemment testé par la Bundeswehr

Description

it is very close to the Future Combat Systems of the U.S. Army with the Non Line of Sight-Launch System.
