Les Dingo 2 GE C1 au nombre de 48 sont principalement utilisés pour réparer les dommages légersz sur le champ de bataille et effectuer d’autres réparations de routine dans des conditions opérationnelles permettant aux véhicules de retrouver leur statut opérationnel.
Initialement, il était prévu d'intégrer l'équipement de l'atelier dans un conteneur ISO amovible de 10 pieds, mais cette idée a dû être abandonnée en raison de la faible charge utile restante. Enfin, en 2009, il a été décidé d’utiliser un abri à toit ouvrant électriquement en raison de la charge utile, du volume de chargement, de la possibilité de disposer d’un poste de travail protégé des intempéries

The 48 ATF Dingo 2 GE C1 Maintenance Trucks are primarily used during Bundeswehr operations to repair battlefield damage and to perform other routine repairs under operational conditions to enable vehicles to return to operational status. Initially it was planned to integrate the workshop equipment into a removable 10-foot ISO container, but this idea had to be dropped due to the small remaining payload. Finally, in 2009, the decision was made to use a shelter with an electrically extendable roof primarily because of the payload, load volume, provision for a workstation protected against the effects of weather and the unrestricted use of the roof-mounted weapon station. The armament of the vehicle consists of the 360° FLW 200 remote weapon station equipped with a 7.62mm x 45 MG3A1T machine gun.
